I began my journey as a tobacco expert more than two decades ago, and I’ve had the pleasure of working for industry giants like Winston Tobacco Co. and Cohiba Cigars International. My passion for tobacco was ignited during my early years when I had the opportunity to visit tobacco farms in Cuba, where I was captivated by the intricate process of cultivating and curing tobacco leaves.
Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate enough to receive several awards and recognitions for my contributions to the industry. I’ve been honored with the “Golden Leaf Award for Excellence in Tobacco Expertise” three times, a testament to my dedication and hard work in this field.
Currently, I reside in the picturesque countryside of Virginia, USA, where I enjoy the perfect blend of serene landscapes and a climate that’s conducive to growing some of the finest tobacco leaves in the world. Living in this tobacco-rich region allows me to stay close to the heart of the industry and continually expand my knowledge.
In addition to my professional endeavors, I have a wide range of hobbies that keep me active and engaged outside the world of tobacco. I’m an avid golfer, and you can often find me on the local golf courses, perfecting my swing and enjoying the great outdoors. I’m also passionate about cooking, especially when it comes to pairing cigars with exquisite dishes. You’ll find some of my favorite cigar and food pairings right here on my blog.
